Both in the writings of St. Siluan and in those of Father Sofronie the theology of the hypostatic principle is portrayed in a cataphatic way, although its content is incomprehensible and unspoken. In both they predominate the same positive element, for they both speak of a God known and loved, whose light and presence dwell in the heart of man in a sensible way. God fills man with the grace of the Holy Spirit in a personal and unique way. Every man is a person, a bearer of the hypostatic principle, because he is built in the image and likeness of the Hypostasis of the Son and the Word of God. Man received his hypostatic principle by the creative commandment of God. Being built in the image and likeness of his Maker, he comes into the world carrying in himself a principle which, as in the divine Being, as well as in the human being, is by no means a limiting principle, but one which can develop and be perfected. , until it is filled with the fullness of the divine-human being. Only God possesses the original principle of Being, and the center of His Being, Her innermost principle, is the Person-Hypostasis, who represents the foundation of all being. In turn, man, being the image of God, is born in this life potentially as a hypostasis person. Inside it are hidden depths: he has the power to work together with his Builder to assimilate and eternally carry in himself the unmade life of the Godhead. The hypostatic principle develops and is perfected in man through the struggle to renew within himself the divine image and to regain the natural state of his free self-determination. This principle is a gift with which God endows the built and understanding creature, enabling man to become a true master of his own nature. The hypostatic principle becomes a worker and is renewed in man when he receives the search for the unbuilt light, which proceeds from the personal God and the One without beginning.
