The present translation is dated to the end of the century. 18th century, belonging to a monk from the Hesychastic "school" of the Hassian translators, namely the Hieromonk Ilarion Dascălul from the Dragomirna monastery, "the most skilful translator from Greek into Moldovan"

There are significant differences between this translation and the translation of Father Dumitru Stăniloae from Filocalia , differences that are undoubtedly due to the editions used by Father Stăniloae, which are newer and more deficient than the manuscript used by Ilarion Dascălul. Significant semantic differences between the Jerusalem edition, via Filocalia 12, and the Paisian manuscript were marked in the text, correlating with the English edition, which used better, flawless manuscripts.
