"The Dogmatics of the Orthodox Church" by St. Justin Popovici (1894-1979) - translated for the first time into Romanian after the original in Serbian - is the most important work of dogmatic theology of recent centuries.
Along with St. Nicholas Velimirovich, St. Justin Popovici was the one who triggered the spiritual rebirth of the Serbian people and the zealous defender of the true faith in the heyday of the early twentieth century. His work includes over 40 volumes, of which 30 are published in Serbian, many of them being translated into Greek, French, English, etc.

For Saint Justin Popovici, dogmas, eternal truths about God, world and man, are realities in which nothing is transient, mortal and fictitious. Through dogma, the believer feeds and gradually frees himself from all that is sinful, transient, relative and mortal. Through asceticism and with the help of the grace of the Holy Spirit, man changes his face to that of Christ. He thus becomes a new creature, divine-human, eternal, impassable and happy.
In the conception of St. Justin, the main dogma is the Savior Christ Himself. He - the Way, the Truth and the Life - is the absolute dogma, never diminished or changed, from which spring, "like the rays of the sun" all the other dogmas, the truths that proceed from Him and lead to Him. Through dogmas, the man who loves the Truth lives in the Church and through the Church in the Body of Christ.
