Chenotic theology of Antonie Bloom, Metropolitan of Suroj, from an anthropological perspective
Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom) of Suroj (1914-2003) was one of the most important voices of Orthodoxy in the twentieth century, being well known for his sermons and conversations on Holy Scripture, spiritual life and contemporary issues. Some of this material was published during his lifetime, but the rest became available only after his death, much of which remains only now to be translated from Russian. To date, the legacy left by Antonie Bloom has not been properly studied and this doctoral thesis is a first attempt to organize this huge corpus of material and to begin a study of its key themes.
