Voice of praise. Biblical songs in liturgical prayer
Fourteen songs taken from various books of the Old and New Testaments occupy a special place in the Christian Bible: they appear reunited for the first time in the fifth century, forming a poetic collection based on the Psalter from the Codex of the Septuagint, Alexandrinus. These hymns or scriptural ode testify to a period in which solemn prayer based on the reading of the Psalms, accompanied by songs and music, was organized in cathedrals and monasteries. These ode and prayers were sung in the Bible by some famous people in the history of the people of Israel, such as Moses, who emerged victorious from the battle against Pharaoh at the Red Sea and sang to the Almighty God the trust and gratitude of the people. To their voices of praise, three hymns taken from the Gospel of Luke answer that celebrate the Nativity of Jesus, the famous Messiah.
