He who humbles himself, who believes in the Word of God with all his soul and fulfills it, through the power of prayer, will receive the Lord Himself in his heart; indeed, she will see Him and hear Him everywhere. Even when he is rebuked and bad words are spoken against him, he will hear the guiding voice of the Lord, see His finger pointing to his sinful wounds, and will gladly receive from that healing hand this burning and yet healing oblivion.

He knows that there is no greater benefit than that received from enemies, and this commandment becomes easy, even desirable to him: “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for you. you for those who hurt you and persecute you ”(Mt 5:44). He sees them as benefactors, helping them to draw closer to God and enter His Kingdom, and not only does he not hate them or become angry, but he loves them more...
