The present paper aims to recover the sources and to present the historical framework and the relations between Church and State in the interval 379-438, but also to capture the processes that contributed to the crystallization of a framework situation in which the Byzantine Empire developed based on the Theodosian ideological heritage. of Nicene-style Christianity, because Theodosius the Great and his successors have the merit of having changed, against all odds, the direction of Christianization of Europe...
