Priest Professor Vasile Gheorghiu. Life and work
I considered a research work of the work of Prof. Vasile Gheorghiu necessary due to the fact that he is one of the greatest teachers of Orthodox theology, and his works, although they were written about a century ago, have not lost nothing of their importance, on the contrary, their content is today very topical.
The meeting with the university world a century ago allows a very pertinent analysis on the way in which the Romanian university education evolved from the second half of the century. XIX, until today, and the strict study of the works of Prof. Vasile Gheorghiu reveals how the Romanian Orthodox Church, through its servants, through theology teachers, understood to answer the great problems it faced in the second half of the 19th century to the present day.
