Emilian Vasilescu is not a simple historian of religions, who proposes an axiological equalization and homologation of all religions, but remains and expresses himself predominantly as an Orthodox theologian; it by no means denies the value of non-Christian religions, but confesses and defends the supreme and ultimate Truth in Jesus Christ. Through everything he wrote and published, Emilian Vasilescu managed to develop a theology of religions (theologia religionum), clearly highlighting the differences between Christianity and other religions and, at the same time, challenging the idea of equality of all religions and alleged assumptions that underlying them were common influences, loans, and sources.
