Among the holy bishops of the fourth century, St. Spiridonos of Trimitunda certainly occupies a special place in Eastern piety to this day. This fact is also indicated by the simple observation that there is almost no orthodox church today in which the face of the great hierarch with the covering of the rush head is not painted in the Holy Altar, a sign of his perfect simplicity and holiness.
This volume contains the oldest hagiographic texts referring to Saint Spiridonos, bishop of Trimitunda, thaumaturge and miracle worker from the 4th century, translated for the first time into Romanian.
