Therefore, life is only the time ‑ space that has been given to us in order to pass into a state that revelation illuminates through the hope of the Resurrection and the sacrifice of Christ is facilitated by taking our sinful baggage. The difficulty of this puzzle is given by the fact that survival in another dimension, spiritual and always personal, depends on our options, in other words on the way we used, on the earthly road, the frightening quality of being free. Nothing binds more than freedom: it makes you choose good and, no matter how hard postmodernity has tried to relativize borders, evil remains detectable: we have little excuse. It is decalogically detectable, it is easy to surprise by analyzing its destructive effects. With this evil, embodied in the same way and face, we live, because it belongs to us, it is the very result of our choices, from the ethical and political ones, to the axiological ones. It is the dowry inseparable from us, when we define ourselves as unrepeatable beings. The whole history of culture exposes the range of our attempts to modify, evade, ignore, transfigure this iron law. Either through the Dionysian, orgiastic, pleasantly annihilating propensity, or through totalitarianism, as an era of the masses, or through the panorama (surrogate of divine omniscience) to which the digital age exposes us without ceasing. Escapist strategies!
