The coordinator of the commemorative volume is His Eminence Bishop Calinic Botoșăneanul, a hardworking, inspired and skilled handler of the pen who, in the preface of this volume reminds that this book is a gift of gratitude to one of the abbots of high moral, spiritual and intellectual status in Romania . His Holiness also pointed out that the work is intended to be an "anamnetic florilegium". Why anamnetic florilegium and not a simple commemorative book? The answer was given to us by Fr. Prof. Dr. Viorel Sava from the Faculty of Theology "Dumitru Staniloae" in Iasi, who, in his evocation of Father Mitrofan, says: "The anamnesis contains and reveals meanings that escape the commemoration, regardless of who or what it is related to. The liturgical anamnesis means to make present, in a certain place and time and in the heart of a concrete community, a saving event in history. Therefore, mentioning Father Abbot, Archimandrite Mitrofan, on the 20th anniversary of his move to...
