A work through which the author investigates the creative possibilities of the symbol in the area of art and culture, the impact of some symbols on the spiritual evolution of mankind. Specifically, the author proposes a historical incursion of the symbol of the divine eye, a subject approached from a theological and secular perspective, subject to a complex interdisciplinary examination. The approach of the symbol “The Eye of God” presupposed an appropriate documentation, of sequential traversal of the stages of its formal and conceptual finalization, systematically followed throughout the history of religions and visual arts. Currently, the symbol of the Eye of God is in the top of secular fields (esoteric, mystical, but also astronomical), a circumstance due to which the author brought to the public's attention the theme of the symbol from a religious point of view, more precisely, from the theological perspective of Christian worship.
