Kamariotis's canons have on the one hand an hymn character, on the other hand a dogmatic character. We can speak of a poetic preaching whose purpose is to glorify God, to praise the incomprehensible with the festive mind of the Transfiguration, but also to learn and clarify the Orthodox teaching, beyond heretical opinions and false teachings. Kamariotis, like a preacher, theologizes by teaching divine teachings.
