This paper is intended to be a dictionary especially in the sense of a working tool. It aims to familiarize the reader with fundamental concepts and terms belonging to the post-modern scientific approach, respectively to the contemporary Orthodox theological approach in a desired neopatristic and philocal approach and, last but not least, with terms belonging to the current approach of dialogue between theology and sciences, the one that gives birth today, through its continuous maturation, to a conceptual instrument absolutely necessary for those who dare to make incursions in the border area between the two fields of knowledge. The paper has an "encyclopedic" character insofar as it proposes, according to the classical criteria of encyclopedism, the explanation of each term accompanied by bibliographical references, observations, respectively references to related terms whose reading completes the notional horizon. This paper is intended to be a dictionary especially in the sense of a working tool. Both "neopatristic" and "philocalic" are desired, insofar as it proposes a theological approach with frequent references to the words of the Fathers (especially those of contemporaneity, but not only) who, through the experience of their lives, lived in the context of the turmoil of the world. present, they have to share with us a living word structured in response to the saving needs of today's man. Finally, the paper is, in a way, "vocabulary", although it programmatically lacks a tendency towards completeness in terms of presentation of terms, as it proposes a possible basic background - conceptual tools needed to study the relationship between Orthodox theology and science.
